Qualifications

• Lead a mixed-age Upper Elementary classroom (ages 9–11), delivering advanced Montessori lessons in language, mathematics, geometry, and cultural studies.

• Observe, record, and assess student progress to design tailored, individualized learning tracks.
• Nurture positive social development, collaborative group work, and student-led conflict resolution.

Position Summary

Join our peaceful, hands-on Toddler and Primary communities where the youngest learners explore through movement, routine, and purposeful work. We are seeking a caring, dependable, and nurturing Assistant Teacher to support children’s earliest stages of independence and self-discovery. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with young children and wishes to grow within the Montessori philosophy.

Montessori certification sponsorship and internship opportunities are available for qualified candidates interested in becoming Lead Montessori teachers.

Key Responsibilities

• Willingly and respectfully assist the Lead Teacher in preparing and maintaining a calm, organized, safe, and aesthetic classroom environment.
• Assist children respectfully with daily routines, including maintaining hygiene, changing diapers, dressing, and encouraging self-care and independence.
• Model grace, courtesy, soft spoken communication, and gentle guidance in all interactions with students, co-workers, and parents.
• Help prepare classroom materials (such as cutting paper and making copies) and maintain a clean, engaging learning space.
• Monitor children safely across all school environments, including classroom and playground supervision.
• Communicate positively and professionally with parents and colleagues while strictly upholding the school's positive communication values.

Qualifications

• Personality: Warm, patient, and nurturing personality with a genuine love for working with young children.
• Education: High school diploma required; a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• Credentials: 45 Hours / CDA credentials preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience working with toddlers or young children in a school or childcare setting is preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, reliability, teamwork, and a professional appearance.
• Mindset: A strong willingness to learn, adapt, and actively participate in school-sponsored Montessori training.
